Set to a a medium-tempo swingy funk groove, this will make a great feel-good chartto scratch that hard-to reach change-of-pace itch. Guitar and bari sax kick it off over addictive pop-oriented changes. Melody starts with bari, bass, and piano and is taken over by alternating brass and saxes. Cleverly interwoven lines crescendo throughout the first half of the charge, finally releasing in solos for guitar and alto with changes that increase in complexity. There's even a bone soli! Lot's of melodic development in this one from the oh-so-skilled pen of Rob Holmes. [Instrumentation: 5 saxes, 8 brass, 4 rhythm]
