Final Countdown for sax section and rhythm

This is one of my favorite recent charts. A hard-driving straight-eighths feel in six keeps this very hip and modern sax section chart charging along. Steve says the title is a reference to Coltrane's classic "Countdown," the harmony of which inspired the writing of this chart, though Steve substitutes in modern polychords and suspended harmony. You'll dig the creative use of pyramids and rhythmic punches that tie in so nicely with the groove. Get it for your sax group, or give the brass a break in your big band concert.
